GOAL!!

I thought it was impossible to read this much number of books within a year but it wasn't.
2 more months and I think I can still add 20 more books before the year ends.
YAY! Congratulations for me~~ ^^

Daughter of Stone and Bone - Laini Taylor

Bought a new book last weekend. One of the most expensive book I bought, considering all of my HP books are gift from my friends and sisters. 500 bucks! Really. I was kinda deliberating whether to acquire it or not, and I ended up clutching it with my hands on my way home.

Oh well, I hope it's really good. Don't want to regret spending my 500bucks with ugly novels.

Ravenclaw baby!

Yay Ravenclaw!!
I was choosing between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. I won't deny my disappointment (I really want to be in Gryffindor since I was 11y/o) but I'm quite satisfied with this. I somehow dislike Hufflepuff and Slytherin.

My wand is:
10 inches, Black Walnut with Unicorn Core, Unyeilding.
Not really strong. Nothing super special like Phoenix and Dragon.

Exploring Pottermore.

I wish I can post some screenshots of Pottermore, unfortunately, it is not allowed.

When Pottermore opened the site for early admission, I did not hesitate to join the buzz. I was admitted on the 3rd day of the 7days Early Admission. I received my 1st and 2nd letter days after that. After months and weeks of waiting for my 3rd letter, finally! I had mine yesterday. And today, I got to enjoy the site.

While writing this, I gained 7 Pottermore friends (and hoping for more). I'm currently on the 1st Book Chapter 5.

It is E.P.I.C! Seriously. Its really amazing. I have read the whole Harry Potter series countless of time already, and I thought it was pretty stupid to read it again, but I guess it wasn't. Pottermore has this twist of retelling the whole story and It is super exciting- Harry Potter Series in advance level. There are notes from JK, more elaborate descriptions about the characters and why JK picked this name for certain character and stories not published etc. Absolutely amazing!

I wished I get to pick my house and my wand. I honestly don't know how but they said I need to reached certain page on the book to be able to pick my wands. Dont know about the houses yet. (Gryffindor of Ravenclaw please!!)

Im gonna enjoy my first day as ScarletYew147 (add me guys!) So..
Everyone, join and enjoy!

Hunger Games Series

I just finished reading Mockingjay few hours ago. And my thoughts are:

I honestly don't know where to begin. All I know is that I'm quite disappointed with this series.
I had read tons of good reviews about this book and how they compare it with HP series. They were saying that most HP lovers will probably love this series as well, so I wont deny that I expected a lot from it.

Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. I have to disagree with those people who kept on insisting it was good as HP- not even close.

First, it was pretty morbid. The whole idea of Hunger Games was quite crazy. Death. Survival. Killing other people to protect your family. It was really tragic. Second, I honestly don't know what I should feel about the whole book- what does it want to say? Or, what does it want to impart with its readers? Oh well, I admire Katniss' bravery and genuine-ness. Her love for her family specially for her sister, Prim. But apart from that, nothing. Third, although, I loved the ending, I must say that I felt it was being rushed. I was expecting more from it.

Nonetheless, I find the story really unique. Again, I loved the ending. I thought, somewhere in the book, Peeta or Gale will die for Katniss and *sigh it did not happened. And I really like Peeta for Katniss not Gale. So yeah, that I really loved. Compare to other dystopians that I have read, this one made it to top3 along with The Giver (Lois Lowry)  and Awaken (Katie Kacvinsky).

ps.
This is not a review.
Just my thoughts.
