The Magic of Poohdini

This is the truth, I’m not the best.
I’m not the greates of all time.
I’m not here to shout, boast or preach.
I’m not the second coming- I’m not there yet…
Last weekend, Derrick Rose along with other NBA players went to the city to play for thousand of basketball fans. I was able to witness the magic in action. (Though, maybe, I was just exaggerating because DRose did not play well enough that time.) I said in my previous post that I think I'm gonna love basketball more than I did before. And it is all because of this man right here, Poohdini.

Poohdini is a tattoo etched on Derrick Rose's left arm. It was how his grandma called him when he was a kid because of his chubby face and yellowish skin, exactly like Pooh Bear.

I have been a basketball fan since I was fan- Jordan days that is. Of course, I along with my dad are cheering for Chicago Bulls. I watch every basketball league, even inter-barangays. Haha. I saw players come and go. I liked and cheered for every players that I like. After the Jordan era, I switched to Lakers. And then Dallas Mavs, after that I became a Magic fan and now Chicago Bulls. I am more rooting for players than their teams. As of now, my favorites were Derrick Rose, Dwight Howard, Dirk Nowitzki, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Russel Westbrook, Joakim Noah, Deron Williams and Kobe Bryant.

When does the craziness started?

I was a fan since his rookie days in NBA. He was doing great already during his Highschool and college days but I only noticed him when he started playing for Bulls. I've been hearing his name since then but it was during the Allstar Weekend of 2009 when I got a closer look. He won the Skills Challenge Champion that year. I became a fan after seeing the Bulls' playoffs against Boston Celtics. Epic series from these 2 teams. Considering that Bulls had a very young players- Rose, Gordan, Hinrich. Thomas and Salmons, they were able to brought a great series.

Since then, I became a Chicago Bulls fan once again. Since then, I started to follow Derrick Rose games.

And last season was great. Despite lost against Miami Hate Heat, I still think that the Bulls had an amazing season. With Derrick Rose winning the MVP award and Chicago Bulls entering East Finals, there's no reason to be sad about.

And now I started doing edits for DRose and the rest of the guys from Bulls. I think I have downloaded every DRose commercials on Youtube and almost all mixes made. haha. You think I'm an addict? Definitely! Ha Ha. ^^

Forever?

I guess so. I have much respect for this guy.

The reasons I love him:

1. He is humble.
In one of his inverviews, he said that it was Luol Deng who played like a MVP for the team the entire season, not him.  He still doesn't change, atleast for him. Actually, some NBA fans said that he became the MVP because he is too nice. People from NBA made hm the MVP because he is too humble and too good as a person. As much as I hate how they underestimated him, I still think it's a good thing to hear that from critics.

2. He loves his family.
Specially his mom so much. He had his mom's name tattooed on this right hand.  Actually, his idol is Michael Jordan but he plays for his mom. (Watch his Wilson commercial).

3. He lives by his faith.
I adore people who loves God and wear  them right on their sleeve.

4. Man of few words
I love it every time I hear him talk. His low voice without boasting.. that voice who doesn't talk sh**. Man of few and chosen words indeed.

5. He works and plays hard.

ps.
I haven't rechecked them yet.
Sorry for wrong grammars and spelling.
